An opportunity within BOQ Group's Business Banking Division has become available, as Business Development Manager SME Retail!
The purpose of this role is to provide:
- Coaching to the BOQ Owner Managed (Franchise) Branches to assist with SME growth.
- Product & Pricing Capability uplift
- Education of Product (Engagement of Product Partners in particular, Equipment Finance, Transactional, Deposits)
- Pricing oversight across both BOQ Business and BOQ Specialist for market consistency;
- Niche lending – play to strengths, exclude development lending
- Credit Capability uplift
- Coaching on deal appetite, servicing, deal flow, time to approval, time to cash
- Increase in first time right approval conversion rates
- Portfolio Management (arrears, expired contracts etc)
- Growth and Retention:
- Lift products per customer to 1.5 per customer (considered best practice)
- Business Development Coaching
- Deal Triaging with RM/EC where necessary
- Reduce runoff to<20%
- Stakeholder Management:
- Relationship Building and upskilling key Stakeholders – State Heads, Owner Manager’s, SME lenders
- Build external brand BOQ Business Brand awareness amongst Commercial Brokers and Aggregators within the Australian Market.
Please not this role will look after Metro Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and a number of Regional Queensland branches. Having your own transport is a must.
About youAs the successful candidate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Degree in Finance, Business or relevant discipline desirable but not essential
- Minimum 2 years commercial lending experience.
- Strong influencing skills
- Strong knowledge of Business Lending, in particular analysis of complex financial statements
- Strong knowledge the commercial market and competitors’ products
- Ability to identify acceptable lending risk to the Bank and to maximize profit from transactions
- Demonstrated experience of building, maintaining and utilizing successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influences across the organization.
- Be a self-directed, motivated team player who is passionate about providing a better BOQ experience.
