Working for an Award-Winning Fintech and Non-Bank Lender, the Business Development Manager is a critical role, developing relationships with a vast network of Mortgage Brokers.
The company offers a bespoke lending solution that is being taken up by more and more Australians. Rapid growth over the past few years and a favourable market has our client now seeking the talents of an experienced Lender Business Development Manager looking to own the WA market. You will be the sole representative of the company locally.
Where and how you can work:
Head Office is in Sydney, so you will be working remotely in this role. Aside from regular coffee clusters with Brokers, you will be flown over to Sydney to spend time with the team and enjoy the vibrant company culture.
In the role you will:
- Develop and expand connections with potential and existing mortgage brokers to drive business growth.
- Identify partner needs to recommend appropriate products and services for effective sales.
- Create and implement marketing and territory plans for relevant markets.
- Work with approved aggregator groups and initiate contact with partners.
- Demonstrate the advantages and value of products and services through meetings and training sessions.
- Prioritise tasks that impact customer experience and align partners with strategies and values.
- Promote and apply good risk management practices, ensuring a positive risk culture and effective compliance management.
- Clearly and concisely communicate complex information, using various methods to enhance understanding.
- You will be a strategic and relationship-focused professional with expertise in driving business growth within the mortgage market. You will excel at building and expanding connections with brokers and aggregators, creating effective marketing plans, and demonstrating the value of products and services. Additionally, you will prioritise customer experience, apply robust risk management practices, and possess strong business acumen to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Business-related degree and/or postgraduate professional qualification (ideal but not necessary)
- 5+ years of exposure to mortgage lending
- Proven success in Business Development and relationship management
- Strong understanding of mortgage credit policies and processes
- Knowledge of operational, audit, and compliance requirements in a financial organisation
- Previous experience dealing with mortgage brokers
- Strong skills in Business Development, sales, and lending
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate relationships
