About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who is enthusiastic and motivated to work with our management team to help drive new business and expand our customer base.
The primary task of this role, with assistance from the technical and management teams, is to bring in new prospects, including finding them, getting in-front of them to demonstrate our service and how we will meet their needs, and converting them into a client.
Responsibilities:
- Finding business opportunities and executing a strategy to acquire new clients
- Manage all stages of the sales cycle including coordinating the sales process and tracking all opportunities
- Meeting with prospective clients and building positive, long-term relationships
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and challenges, offering tailored IT solutions and support plan services
- Demonstrating our teams' technical and design capability and the features of web-based software systems to clients
- Complete tender responses and develop compelling proposals and presentations for new business
- Track developments in industry related areas including advances in software and competitor services
- Lead marketing, including tactical planning of approach and implementation
Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years Business Development and/or sales experience in an IT, Marketing, or similar technology agency
- Demonstrated sales target achievements
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
- Target driven and persuasive, with proven negotiating skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, and driven attitude
- Strong time management skills, highly organised, and proactive
- Excellent presentation skills that exude confidence
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and exceptional writing skills
- Strong sales knowledge and an understanding of what influences client purchasing decisions
- A good understanding of website development
- Understanding of Kentico and Umbraco or comparable CMS platforms would be ideal, but not essential
- University degree/college diploma or equivalent work experience
- Full working rights in Australia
