Lead in a Thriving Environment: Bishopp is a true success story, employing over 70 staff and holding relationships with more than 400 property owners. As the Business Development Manager (Airports), you'll be at the forefront of managing and expanding Bishopp airports portfolio.
A typical month might look like:
- Overseeing partnerships with Bishopp’s airport partners and prospective partners through face-to-face meetings through Australia and New Zealand.
- Manage senior engagement with existing airport partners, involving new revenue opportunities, commercial negotiations, and business preservation.
- Proactively engage with prospective airport partners, rapidly developing relationships with a compelling value proposition.
- Develop business cases, commercial proposals, and tender responses to advance Bishopp Group’s commercial objectives.
- Liaise with airport managers, contribute to new projects, asset maintenance, and development opportunities.
Success will look like:
- Winning new airports and converting proposals into clients through your extensive travel.
- Positive conversations and the ability to extract valuable insights from stakeholders.
- Engaging effectively to secure invitations for presenting proposals.
- Collaborating closely with the internal sales team to identify revenue potential and address market demand.
- Building compelling business cases that meet investment thresholds.
- Coaching and mentoring team members within the airports commercial team to build internal capability
Your relevant tertiary qualifications and 5+ years in a Business Development role within the airport sector will set you up for success. A key foundational skill will be your negotiation skills in small infrastructure projects and lease/property deals exceeding $1million.
