Here’s what you’ll do at COMTEC
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic sales activities for our automation, robotics, and Industrial Components activities.
- Develop and execute comprehensive short, and long term, sales strategies to maximise sales of Comtec product lines.
- Direct and implement effective pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to increase sales and market share within specific segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers, industry groups and vendors.
- Prepare and deliver sales reports to vendors on sales activities and market conditions.
- Negotiate prices, and sales and delivery terms, with vendors, and customers.
- Report product information to managers or other sales staff.
- Monitor market conditions and trends and develop marketing plans and strategies.
- Communicate with senior management about marketing initiatives and project metrics, as well as to brainstorming, and delivering, fresh strategies.
- Attend seminars, exhibitions, and conferences to network and develop professional knowledge.
- Plan, prepare and attend trade shows for the promotion of products and networking.
- Plan promotional and marketing materials.
- Interstate and international travel required.
Essential:
- 5+ years sales experience with automation, robotics, and/or injection moulding machines and materials handling.
- Strong technical knowledge of robotics, automation, and related technologies.
- Strong knowledge electrical components
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic and fluid components
- Strong knowledge of plastics processing equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Knowledge of SAP or similar accountancy package would be beneficial.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Officeworks (especially EXCEL)
- Self-motivated with strong multi-tasking, organizational, communication and documentation skills.
- Have a can-do attitude and be willing to work the number of hours required to meet project objectives.
