We are seeking an energetic and ambitious Business Development Manager to help us grow our market share in Sydney and across NSW.

You will be selling capital equipment solutions to transport and fleet operators across a range of industries in the construction, recycling and waste management sectors. This role will have a focus in the first two years on developing strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and then progressively identifying market needs and developing client focused solutions. We are realistic about the timeframes and sales-cycles that will see this market grow over a 3 year period.

Ideally you should have experience of new Business Development selling or working with capital equipment and you will have a mechanical aptitude and be enthusiastic about high-value product solution sales.

Reporting through to the GM of Sales, the primary objective of this position is to promote our brand and products , build enduring client relationships and increase our market presence in the NSW market. You will be our voice in the market, establishing profitable long-term relationships and further growing our market share.

This is a largely Sydney based role and most of your work will be focused on developing and servicing Sydney based decision makers with a lessor amount of work across some larger regional centres in NSW.

You will facilitate the end-to-end sales cycle [ie. prospecting, identifying decision makers, establishing contact, identifying customer needs, solution development, pipeline management, presentations and demonstrations, proposal development & negotiation, sales contract preparation and sign off and ongoing relationship management].

You will become an expert advisor on our product range.  Over time and with experience you will develop a strong knowledge and understanding of our products and your goal will be to develop yourself as our ‘the go to person’ across Sydney and NSW.

Right Fit for you?

This position is ideally suited to an experienced professional with a strong Business Development focus and track record of excellence in solution delivery and customer service. You may already be a proven sales professional, or you may have managed service operations for a capital equipment business. You may already have strong connections to the trucking, waste, recycling or construction industries or to fleet operators/service providers working with local government.

  • Well-developed communication skills – you will be a skilled communicator who connects well and engages others;
  • First-rate planning and organisational skills – complemented by a methodical approach and strong attention to detail;
  • The knack for problem solving – you’ll view problems as opportunities and enjoy taking a creative, innovate and fresh approach;
  • Good computer skills – we’re in search of a ‘tech savvy’ individual who can bring fresh ideas and new efficiencies and;
  • Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
