Description
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail and building sectors
- Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to enhance product distribution
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective negotiation and relationship-building
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities
- Drive sustained growth by expanding the client's presence in the kitchen appliance market
- Stay abreast of industry developments to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge
Profile
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- Proven track record of successfully launching products in a Business Development or sales role
- Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the retail and building sectors
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a history of exceeding sales targets
- In-depth market research expertise to identify trends and navigate a competitive landscape
- Strategic thinker capable of driving sustained growth and expanding market presence
- Keen awareness of industry developments to inform decision-making and maintain competitiveness
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster key partnerships and collaborations
- Cooking appliance experience in relevant retailer and builder/developer channels.
- Existing relationships with key customers such as Harvey Norman and The Good Guys.
- Majority existing customers but some Business Development with new accounts will be needed.
- Working with 4 other account managers (3 in SYD and 1 in MEL) in the refrigeration, vacuum cleaners, ovens and dish washer segments
