On a local level, with 33 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, we specialise in a wide variety of Industrial Products including Power Transmissions and Bearings.  We are currently experiencing an exciting growth stage and we continue to be committed to our objective to be an efficient and effective supply chain manager of products and services. 


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to look after servicing and development Queensland and Pacific Island Key Accounts.  To hit the ground running you'll bring with you proven experience in our industry and a commitment to customer service and drive for results to grow your territory.

With the full support of the State Manager and wider support teams, your primary objective is to represent Applied by proactively promoting and selling the full range of products and services marketed by Applied.

Here's a bit about the role:

  • drive a proactive B2B/B2C sales call plan
  • maximise sales/profit opportunities by calling on existing and new customers
  • establish and maintain strong customer rapport by understanding their needs and requirements 
  • provide regular updates on current prospects, lost sales and market information
  • coordinate and participate in joint calls with suppliers and internal specialists
  • attend to after hours call outs as required

Here's a bit about you:
You'll have a solid grounding in our industry or similar. You'll also possess the following:

  • proven experience in solution selling Industrial Products, particularly Bearings and Power Transmissions
  • proven ability to establish and achieve company sales targets
  • proven ability in Territory planning
  • proven ability to problem solve and deliver value propositions
  • demonstrated direct B2B, B2C sales experience
  • passion and drive to develop new relationships and win new business
  • exceptional time management skills
  • ability to develop call plans and sales strategies 
  • strong work ethic and willingness to put in the extra effort
  • excellent presentation and communication skills
  • commitment to continually develop technical proficiency
  • ability and willingness to travel overseas and remote locations such as PNG
