An exciting opportunity exists to join the Business Development team at Melbourne Pathology.
Commencing in February/March, a position will become available in the General Practice team – Outer North region.
Melbourne Pathology is the premier provider of pathology services in Victoria. We are the longest established pathology practice in Australia, now forming part of the Sonic Healthcare group.
We are seeking a sales professional, who is both innovative and strategic. We need someone who is willing to learn how to represent Melbourne Pathology to the market place.
Exceptional communication skills are key; you will also need a strong desire to grow in a premier company.
The individual must be a strong team player who recognises the need to work effectively with others to achieve corporate outcomes.
This position will contribute to the success of Melbourne Pathology through the management of a GP sales area. The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of the sales strategy within the Business Development team.
This will significantly contribute towards:
- Penetrating the market and driving growth to maximise revenue and profitability
- Maximising customer satisfaction
- Delivering a sustainable competitive advantage
Qualifications
- 3 years + related experience
- Relevant tertiary degree in science (highly desirable)
- Current driver’s licence

- Sound administration and computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office suite essential)
- Excellent team work and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic and hard-working
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with Salesforce CRM advantageous
