Your New Role
As a Business Development Representative, you will collaborate closely with the Commerial Manager to grow our footprint in the NSW territory. Drawing on both consultative and conceptual selling approaches, you will build substantial business relationships with eye care professionals, and drive the growth of our brand.
Your responsibilities include:
- Strategic Growth: Achieve sales targets by effectively promoting Opticare lenses, coatings, and equipment to eye care professionals.
- Building Relationships: Foster long-term relationships with stakeholders and identify opportunities to grow their business using Opticare’s range of products and services.
- Market Analysis: Utilize the CRM system to identify and target key customer prospects effectively.
- Training and Education: Conduct on-site training and educational seminars to foster a deeper understanding and demand for our products and services.
- Team Collaboration: Work harmoniously with internal teams, always upholding Opticare’s standard of ethical engagement in all interactions.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work seamlessly with internal teams to develop and implement national marketing plans and innovative sales strategies.
- Ethical Engagement: Uphold the highest ethical standards in every interaction, reflecting Opticare's philosophies and principles.
What You Will Bring
We welcome applicants who have:
- Tertiary education in Business or Optical related field.
- Experience: Over 3 years of experience in the optical sales sector, encompassing lenses, customer support, laboratory work, or retail positions
- Background in interacting with practice personnel, through roles in B2B sales or direct practice involvement
- Adaptable Approach: A “can-do” attitude, with a willingness to be flexible to meet customer needs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to negotiate and foster strong relationships.
- Adequate skills in computer usage for various business-related tasks.
- Strong grasp of business fundamentals, including pricing strategies and profit margins
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Proficient in interpreting sales figures to inform strategic decisions
- Capable of educating both groups and individuals on product knowledge, enhancing their expertise
