A specialist supplier to the construction industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will not only sell high-quality products but also deliver comprehensive solutions that meet the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Business Development Manager, you will conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and new market segments, developing and implementing strategic plans to target high-potential prospects. Utilizing networking, cold calling, and other proactive strategies, you will generate leads and build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
You will schedule and conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the value of our solutions. By understanding client needs through in-depth consultations and needs assessments, you will design and propose tailored solutions that address specific client challenges and objectives. Collaborating with internal teams, you will ensure that the proposed solutions are feasible and align with the company's capabilities.
Your role will also involve preparing and delivering compelling proposals and presentations that persuade clients of the benefits of our solutions, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements, and efficiently closing deals while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Working closely with the product development and engineering teams, you will ensure that solutions meet client specifications and coordinate with project management to guarantee seamless implementation and delivery of solutions. You will provide feedback from the field to inform product development and marketing strategies.
You will track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics, using CRM tools to manage client information and sales activities. Regularly reviewing and analysing sales data will help you refine strategies and improve performance.
Staying updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies is crucial. You will participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, sharing knowledge and best practices with team members to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Business Development role, preferably within the construction, civil, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated success in selling solutions rather than just products. Both would be highly advantageous.
- Strong hunter mentality with a track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Ability to comprehend and effectively communicate complex solutions and their benefits to clients.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Background in mechanical engineering is highly advantageous, although not mandatory.
- Self-motivated individual with a relentless drive to achieve and surpass targets.
What We Offer:
- On offer will be a salary of $120k-$130k (dependent on experience) + Super + Car or Allowance + performance-based incentives.
