Recently we have opened a new office in Singapore to facilitate our clients in the region more effectively, and we have ambitions to grow further.
We have a new division for Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) products for industrial applications. Our Subsidiary Overwatch systems also offers new monitoring technologies for assets in storage. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Business Development Manager to work closely with the Director to establish and grow this new division.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth technical knowledge of VCI products, preservation or storage and mothballing processes, a strong network in the industries such as logistics, defence, manufacturing, energy, mining or similar industry knowledge, and the ability to work independently to drive sales. This role will require you to build a client portfolio in an emerging area of business for us, and the candidate will need excellent organisational skills, the capability to build and lead a team, and effective communication to convey the value of our services to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of VCI products and their applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor products.
Business Development:
- Independently identify and engage potential clients for VCI product sales.
- Build and maintain a robust network within the industry to generate new business opportunities.
Sales and Marketing:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Create compelling marketing materials and presentations to showcase the benefits of our VCI products.
Team Development:
- Provide training and mentorship to other team members to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify potential areas for expansion and growth.
- Analyse customer needs and feedback to inform product development, improvements and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in Business Development, sales, or technical roles within the VCI / Corrosion control or other applicable industries industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor products and their applications.
- Strong understanding of corrosion control
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
