Business Development Specialist (Commercial Cleaning)

• Commercial cleaning industry experience (preferred)
• Melbourne based
• $120,000 + super + $15,000 car allowance + excellent commission plan
• Frequent travel throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.

This is an excellent full-time opportunity for an experienced Business Development Specialist with strong relationship-building, objection handling and negotiation skills. You will be a proactive natural hunter who can build a robust opportunity pipeline.

The Role

As the Business Development Specialist, you will:

• Establish relationships with new and existing clients from an extensive database
• Develop relationships with key accounts to maximise revenue
• Generate leads, undertake cold calling, and qualify leads
• Present proposals at client sites and negotiate sales
• Provide feedback to assist in the development of new business
• Attend industry functions, such as association events, tradeshows and conferences and provide feedback and information on market trends in the development of new business
• Undertake frequent travel throughout Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia (a requirement)
• Maintain a high level of customer contact and be able to present effectively at all levels of business 
• Achieve business plan associated KPIs

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will be a suitably experienced salesperson who has the following:

• Proven experience in a similar role in the commercial cleaning industry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advanced relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
• A strong commercial acumen
• Well-developed negotiation and closure skills
• The ability to work autonomously 
• A high level of initiative and enthusiasm
• An engaging, energetic, and resilient outlook
• Ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate
• Success in meeting deliverables, enhancing systems and processes
• A national criminal history check is required for this role
