Our client is a market leader in water treatment and chemical distribution in Australia and New Zealand, with a growing international presence and expanding portfolio of products.
Position summary
Key business leadership role responsible for driving the future of our client's Water & Industrial business, with a key focus on high-value specialty chemical and water technology contracts in Australia.
The successful candidate will achieve outstanding financial and customer outcomes through portfolio design (products, service), market positioning, pricing excellence and value optimisation of a leading portfolio of products sold primarily within the Water & Industrial markets.
Melbourne and Sydney locations both considered.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead a team of multidisciplinary professionals across product management, sales and business development in Australia
- Be accountable for developing and executing the Water & Industrial Business strategy (in collaboration with Exec Team) to achieve longer-term strategic goals and annual financial and customer outcomes
- Identification of M&A opportunities, strategic partnerships, entry into new business areas and/or geographies.
- Lead, monitor and report financial performance against Water & Industrial product and customer annual targets and Corporate Plan (P&L)
- Drive product management excellence by ensuring rigorous raw material procurement contracts, contingency plans, customer pricing/price mechanisms, portfolio mix, supply chain design, sales contract terms and S&OP forecasts
Required experience
- Experience leading a multi-discipline team across multiple locations
- Excellent communication skills coupled with high-level financial literacy (P&L management)
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing growth strategies
- Experience managing the bid process, execution and performance of large supply contracts and/or exposure to contract law is highly desirable
- Experience in water treatment and/or an asset-based industry such as energy, manufacturing or construction is highly desirable
