Your new role
As a member of the Compliance and Risk team, reporting directly to the Manager – Risk and Compliance, the position will be accountable for maintaining, developing and testing of business continuity plans and recovery strategies, supporting the remediation of any issues and crisis management.
Key accountabilities:
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis for all Work Programs and associated projects.
- Review and update any existing business continuity plans. Develop new business continuity plans as required
- Develop scenarios for multiple BCP and Crisis management simulations and testing in close collaboration with relevant work programs.
- Develop and provide BCP, Issue and Crisis Management training to staff and raise awareness.
- As an issue manager, support remediation, reporting and tracking of any emerging or a raised issue or a crisis event.
- Support the department’s risk management program in a limited capacity.
What you will need to succeed
- Strong understanding and experience of Business Continuity Plans, Issues and Crisis management concepts.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis, skills in developing recovery strategies and business continuity plans, reviewing and analysing supplier’s business continuity plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills that can relate to all levels of management, staff, and stakeholders. Educate relevant stakeholders on business continuity and issue management.
- Well-developed analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills that can identify and manage emerging and notified issues.
- Strong team player, hands-on, and ability to work autonomously or within a small team. Achieving deliverables and activities within deadlines.
- An understanding and experience of risk management is preferable but not essential (desirable).
