Opportunity Awaits
The role of the position is to support the Assets and Project Delivery branch in carrying out administrative functions of the branch effectively and efficiently. Your roles will include
1. Prepare agenda and minutes of the Traffic Committee and Floodplain Risk Management Advisory Committee.
2. Correspondence with the stakeholders, arising out of Committee meetings.
3. Prepare and monitor orders in accordance with Council’s requirements and process invoices for payments.
4. Prepare Council reports and general correspondence as required under the direction of Manager Assets.
5. Provide administrative and secretarial support to Manager Assets.
6. Monitor use of stationery material, general refreshments and place orders as required, to ensure constant supply.
7. Respond to the inquiries of external stakeholders in relation to traffic matters as and when required.
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated practical and extensive experience in agenda preparation, minute taking and effecting decisions.
2. High order correspondence and report writing skills.
3. Demonstrated understanding of purchase procedures.
4. Demonstrated understanding of Local Government Act and Administrative Legislation.
5. Demonstrated experience in working with committees and operating in a team environment.
6. Commitment to customer service and quality management.
7. The ability to use databases and prepare PowerPoint presentations.
8. Ability to communicate effectively.
