About us:
Early Childhood Division of the Department of Education is responsible for the strategic management and implementation of early learning and development reforms, coordination of Early Childhood education and care programs, approval and regulation of services, supporting assessment and ratings and the quality improvement for all Early Childhood development and education improvement in Queensland.
Your Role:
As the Business Support Officer, you will:
- Research, analyse, consult, and problem-solve HR matters, drawing on business knowledge, legislative requirements, and other information.
- Provide advice on injury management and workplace health and safety to managers and ill/injured employees ensuring compliance with legislation, departmental policies, and frameworks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
- Maintain and update data in the MyHR Health and Safety System and other associated record-keeping systems.
- Collaborate and provide support in generalist Human Resources service provision across the team as needed to meet operational demands.
Our ideal candidate:
- Prior experience in injury management and return to work case management;
- Previous experience in a generalist human resource role;
- High level of attention to detail and demonstrated time management skills; and
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sensitively
