An exciting fixed-term contract opportunity exists for an experienced Business Systems Analyst who will be responsible for servicing internal departments through technology consultancy, leveraging the tools of the CRM to provide insightful analysis on a wide range of data sets housed within LGNSW’s CRM system (iMIS by ASI). We are seeking a proactive, collaborative, and motivated Business Systems Analyst with experience in system and database management to join us until the end of December 2024.

LGNSW is the peak body for councils and related organisations in our State. LGNSW advocates on behalf of members and their communities on policy to decision makers at state and federal levels. We also provide a comprehensive range of services including industrial relations representation, management services and training.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Member Engagement, the successful candidate will collaborate with LGNSW business units to understand their usage of the CRM and provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis. Key aspects of the role will involve:
- Serving as a technical lead in the management of the CRM and acting as the key liaison between LGNSW and ASI/CSI on all technical matters.
- Manage all CRM-related projects including integrations with third party software and tools.
- Configuring the system to accurately reflect the evolving requirements of business units.
- Regularly reviewing and enhancing the CRM in consultation with ASI, to ensure it meets all administrative requirements and delivers a premium interface for members and subscribers.
- Perform data analysis and create dashboards using system tools to extract meaningful insights on business performance to inform LGNSW’s member engagement strategy.
- Provide CRM user support including setting up user access & permissions, troubleshooting software issues and supplying guidance on usage.

About you
You will have demonstrated experience implementing strategies to maintain a clean and accurate database and experience configuring systems to accurately reflect the evolving requirements of business units. You are organised with the ability to adapt your workload to meet competing priorities. Your strengths will be your ability to communicate with other business units to understand their use of the CRM and reporting requirements.
Essential Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in analysis and systems development solutions and tertiary qualifications in a Business, IT, Marketing or Data Analytics related discipline.
- Experience with CRM, database, and website management (experience with iMIS is highly desirable).
- Effective communication skills for presenting data insights and recommendations.
- Technical background with ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Able to communicate complex technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to take responsibility and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Office 365.
- Experience with Micro Focus Content Manager (previously known as TRIM, HP Records Manager 8.0 & HP Content Manager 9.0) desirable.
