The Mordi Canteen is new to Mordialloc opening in Oct 2023 serving breakfast, brunch and lunch with our own twist. Currently seating 30 with inside and also alfresco dining. We have experience in the hospitality and are very well known and connected to our local community.
Since we have opened, we have been getting outstanding reviews on socials and google on the quality and tastiness of our food and exceptional service. We are a fun-loving team orientated venue. We are looking for someone who also holds strong value to good food, exceptional service and can work as part of a team.
The role will start as full time. We are also under way with our second outlet in South East of Mel.
Qualifications & experience
A qualified chef, or a proficient cook with previous cafe service exp.
- Experience with cafe style food preferred.
- Work within the Food Safety program
- Ability to multitask in a busy service.
- Must have a passion for good food and an eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Opening & Closing the Kitchen - creating the prep list for the day - stock rotation - Can prepare food items for the Takeaway cabinet - responsible for Breakfast/ lunch service as a Head chef.Introducing new menu as per season.Ordering stock, maintaining hygiene standards
