Seeking a manager for our newly renovated social enterprise café
We have an amazing opportunity available for an energetic Café Manager who is ready to lead our team at Good Social Café at 307 Wright Street, Adelaide and grow their career. We are looking to hire an experienced Café Manager to operate our café and oversee the day to-day operations. The Café Manager’s responsibilities include making coffees, rostering, ordering and maintaining stock, processing payments using the café’s Point of Sale System and ensuring the café is managed exceptionally well at all times.
Ultimately, an exceptional Café Manager should be able to set the highest standard in excellent customer service and workplace culture.
Position Duties:
These diverse roles involve a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to;
- Ensuring great-tasting, high-quality food is served and exceptional customer service is maintained at all times
- Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
- Listening to customer feedback and consistently working to ensure positive customer experiences
- Leading the café team in efficient day to day operations
- Management of staff including rosters, shift changes and team meetings
- Office administration duties such as cash handling, banking, and time sheets
- Cost control with regard to cost of goods and labour
- Identifying talent, interviewing, hiring and on-boarding new team members
- Training team members and supervisors, completing performance reviews
- Ordering of stock from various suppliers
- Executing marketing promotions
- Ensuring safety and security standards are recognized and upheld
Café Manager Requirements:
- Barista experience
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- Exemplary management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Successful team leading skills
- Exceptional customer service skills

Desirable criteria:
- Experience in Hospitality Supervision/ Management
- Valid SA driver's license and own vehicle
- first aid and food safety certifications

Good Social Café is a not for profit café that grew from a social conscience to give back to the community. It’s a small space located in the city. It runs at a steady pace as it’s on a quieter street but does get a lot of local business & local community customers.
