The Women's & Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women, babies, children and young people across South Australia. We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

The Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS) is a free statewide service that supports parents and families of children from birth to five years of age, who live across metropolitan, regional and rural areas in South Australia.
With over 100 clinics across South Australia, CaFHS helps parents and families to understand their child's health, development, and wellbeing needs, which can include breastfeeding, sleeping, settling, introducing solids, parenting and play and development. Each year, CaFHS provides over 75,000 family consultations via in clinic or at home appointments, telehealth (phone) or virtually.

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists within CaFHS to join us as Clinical Nurse Educator (RN2C) on a part-time, ongoing basis.
The Clinical Nurse Educator provides nursing services in a variety of health settings and will work collaboratively and in partnership with all staff and with consumers, carers and their families to ensure optimum health outcomes.
Role Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing the learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience.
- Promote a learning culture by being a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios/records of learning.
- Provide proficient, evidence based, person centred, clinical nursing.
- Monitor patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved daily.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registration or are eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or are eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Working experience as a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse or hold an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position.
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in the supervision of Student Nurses, and less experienced Registered Nurses.
