The Opportunity
We're currently offering an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit as a Clinical Nurse Educator (RN2C) operating on a part-time basis.
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for:
- Providing nursing services in various health settings.
- Supporting Level 5 & 3 Nursing Services Director (NSD) and Nurse Educator (NE) positions to deliver quality care.
- Developing clinical education programs to enhance learning opportunities for Unit/Ward Nursing/Midwifery staff.
- Ensuring accountability for own practice standards and guiding less experienced staff.
- Collaborating with staff, consumers, carers, and families for optimal health outcomes.
- Holding a dedicated portfolio position in the Division of Paediatric Medicine with allocated education responsibilities.
- Collaborating with health professionals and stakeholders to ensure optimal health outcomes for women, children, and families.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Leadership skills to motivate staff towards positive outcomes.
- Proficient in prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines independently.
- Computer and software proficiency.
- Experience in clinical education and facilitating student or less experienced staff learning.
If you are a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse or holds an Associate Nurse Unit Manager position and you can demonstrate competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with NMDA and relevant professional college standards of practice, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
