Job description
The Cancer Pharmacy Services Coordinator is a senior leadership role within Grampians Health Pharmacy Services and is responsible for leading and coordinating delivery of high quality, continually improving Cancer Pharmacy Services in association with the Director Pharmacy Clinical Services.
The Cancer Pharmacy Services Coordinator will oversee operational and clinical management of Cancer Pharmacy Services across Grampians Health, with a focus on coordinating the Grampians Health Cancer Pharmacy Services team delivering services to the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre, Wimmera Cancer Centre, and Stawell Oncology Centre.
The position involves participating in the Cancer Services roster.
Some regional travel to Stawell and Horsham campuses is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership within the Pharmacy Services Department as a key member of the Pharmacy Services Leadership Team, with a focus on Cancer Pharmacy Services
Contribution to the development, implementation of the Pharmacy Services operational plan, including the development of the Cancer Pharmacy Services integration strategy and models of services delivery.
Contribute to effective and appropriate clinical governance.
Drive improvements to Pharmacy Services, processes and outcomes for patients
Collaborate with clinical teams, external partners and other key stakeholders to provide a seamless patient centred model for Cancer Pharmacy Services
Operational responsibility for the pharmacies located at Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre, Wimmera Cancer Centre, Stawell Oncology Centre
Qualifications and experience
Experience as a leader within Hospital Pharmacy
Pharmacist registered with AHPRA who can demonstrate experience in accordance with requirements outlined for Grade 4 pharmacists in the Medical Scientists, Pharmacists and Psychologists VPS Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025
Experience in oncology Pharmacy Services.
Post-graduate Qualification in leadership/management, or a commitment to work towards the same is desirable
Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated high-level leadership and change management skills
Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, structures and processes and government policies relating to service delivery within the public sector.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple health professions and a commitment to excellence in the provision of health services
Strong record of experience within a large, complex healthcare organisation, including at least five years as a hospital pharmacist working within cancer services.
