- Collaborate with management to ensure industry best practices in care and clinical functions, aiming for high resident satisfaction.
- Develop, implement, and update care-related policies and procedures regularly.
- Monitor and report on care-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including national quality indicators, for the Board and stakeholders.
- Improve clinical documentation and tools continually.
- Serve as a clinical role model, providing education and training for staff.
- Ensure integration of care system with continuous improvement processes and maintain accreditation standards.
- Lead response to clinical audits and ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Mentor staff to improve processes and procedures.
- Develop and oversee training programs for clinical staff, ensuring compliance with mandatory training requirements.
- Management experience, particularly in aged or acute care settings.
- Knowledge of nursing practices, healthcare issues, and Aged Care Management, including clinical reviews and resident assessments.
- Understanding of the Aged Care Act, Principles, Accreditation standards, and AN-ACC/Aged care funding principles.
- Strong communication skills for conflict resolution and effective staff management, including rostering and leave management.
- Familiarity with quality principles in service industries and proficiency in computer literacy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to critically analyze situations and provide planned advice.
- Possession of a current driver's license.
