Role Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper and efficient management of the Midland Nursing Home residential facility, including managing several budgets, the continuous quality improvement plan and the broader service delivery operation for the facility. All of this is achieved whilst considering and following all relevant legislations, standards and internal policies. The position plays a critical role in driving positive culture, service excellence and a person-centered approach to care through the mentorship and supervision of the staff team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, legislations and policies
- Overseeing the provision of personal care services, nursing care and recovery plans that are in place across the facility
- Responsibility for overseeing the management of staff, including performance, recruitment, rostering, training and culture
- Ensuring that the facility is operating within budget, and operating in line with funding requirements and assessments, all whilst looking for ways to optimise revenue for the facility
- Creating a feedback-positive workplace that makes staff and residents feel valued for their input, and seeks to act on the feedback receive
This role is located at our charming residential aged care facility in Midland and will be hired on a permanent full time basis.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
We are looking for a significantly experienced and clinical aged care professional who has a track record of high performance within the sector. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for working within aged care, and a strong commitment to the excellent provision of residential services. They will have highly developed leadership and communication skills, including an ability to converse with people from all walks of life and an ability to bring people along on the journey with them. We are also looking for someone who has elite organisational/time management skills, which allows them to keep a cool head in the face of pressure/deadlines and make composed, logical decisions that serve to benefit all involved.
Key criteria includes the below:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Significant experience gained within management or supervisory capacities within the aged care sector.
- Familiarity with the ANACC funding model, and the preparedness to assist the facility through future changes to aged care funding.
- Possess or willing to obtain an NDIS clearance check and an unrestricted drivers licence
