Care Manager

Registered nurse with leadership experience as a Care Manager to join a Residential Aged Care regional.

Your new role 

• Responsible for a large residential service for providing high quality clinical care to residents within the guidelines of the organisation.
• Leading a team of registered nurses, enroled nurses, care service employees.
• Oversee the development and implementation of care plans. 
• Ensure that all incidents, complaints, breaches of professional conduct or minor misdemeanours are reported. 
• Maintain documentation standards.
• Expenditure is within the budget for items within the scope of the position. 
• Support and promote a culture that promotes wellbeing, safety and individual and team accountability through effective hazard identification and risk management.
• Any other duties as reasonably requested.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience of supervising and leading staff.
• Excellent understanding of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and experience in managing compliance.
• Demonstrated high level of analytical, written and verbal skills.
• Competence in financial management includes experience in managing claims for aged care subsidies and funding (ACFI). 
• Ability to work well within a team and to liaise closely on key decisions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence people
• Excellent computer skills
