Supporting our clients living with neurological conditions, (including MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neurone Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke) our City Beach Respite Accommodation facility support clients in a warm, homely, and friendly environment.
Close to the beach and local amenities including transport, it is staffed by a welcoming, and friendly team.
Typically, clients tend to stay for one or two weeks, to get the much needed rest and recouperation they need.
How you can make a difference every day:
- Providing personal care (e.g., showering and dressing) to promote health and well-being.
- Medication administration & assistance.
- Meal preparation and other household duties (the small stuff makes a huge difference!)
- Working to meet the unique needs of the client by following their individualised care plans and helping them achieve their defined goals.
Our ‘must haves’
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain.)
- Provide First Aid certificate – less than 12 months old (we can help you here if not!)
Our ‘nice to haves’
- Experience in a similar role – either within disability or aged Care Support
- A positive attitude (makes a huge difference!)
- A Certificate III in a relevant discipline
