The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Care Systems Manager, you will play a vital role in efficiently scheduling care and support services of Aveo residents. You will ensure care tasks and resources are accurately scheduled so exceptional outcomes and optimal staff utilisation outcomes are achieved.
This is a permanent full-time position working 8-4pm, based at our Newstead Corporate Office, with WFH options. To ensure operational coverage and support for our team, one week a month you will be required to work 6am-2pm, and then 10am-6pm. Free on-site parking is available to you during those extended hours.

You will
- Allocate care staff to resident visits using Alayacare, ensuring alignment with their care requirements and staff capabilities.
- Manage staff allocation in response to changes in scheduled tasks, resident changes and staff availability.
- Offer guidance and advice to stakeholders relating to care scheduling and using your knowledge and expertise to assist with challenges
- Act in accordance with all relevant legislation, Quality standards and internal policies and procedures (e.g. Care Governance, Privacy, etc.)
- Work cohesively and professionally with colleagues to support and ensure positive resident outcomes
What you'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in a Home Care, Community Care or Disability scheduling role (highly regarded)
- Proficient in rostering or scheduling software programs (such as Alayacare)
- Experience and/or knowledge of Home Care Packages
- Ability to use discretion in decision-making and the prioritisation of staff work schedules with ever-changing resident care needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to solve problems and work with newly implemented systems
