A home carer provides flexible care at home to an individual or couple for varying lengths of time, helping out with daily housekeeping tasks and personal support to assist with independent living, meal preparation and running errands.
We require a Private in-home carer for a temporary role in Noosaville. Primarily you will expect 10-20hrs per week, made up of rostered and adhoc shifts (currently looking for assistance for 5.00am starts for a 4 hour shift) and weekends. There may be some extra shifts covering leave of other staff, ideally we are looking for someone with flexibility.
About you:
You have an interest in providing quality personalised care to meet the needs of our client – you will have a love of animals, an interest in food and travel.
What your shift might include:
- Domestic Assistance – basic cleaning
- Helping with meal preparation and shopping
- Providing social support and access to lifestyle activities
- Personal care including getting them ready, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
- Providing respite and emotional support
- Social support and transport to appointments
Key Requirements
- Driver's licence
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Resilience and ability to work independently
