As a Case Manager in the Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP), you will collaborate with the HSP team, clients, and relevant stakeholders to deliver holistic, strengths-based case management, as well as information and referral services.
You will coordinate the implementation of case management plans, playing a crucial role in ensuring that clients have access to all necessary services to achieve successful settlement outcomes to new arrivals (Refugees and humanitarian entrants).
You will conduct accurate assessments of individual strengths, needs, and goals to identify necessary services for achieving settlement outcomes. Additionally, you will maintain consistent communication with clients/guardians, developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing case management plans to assess progress toward successful settlement outcomes.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum Level 4 Cert IV in Community Services or other relevant community or welfare related qualification
- Diploma in Community Services and/or Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Applied Social Sciences, Counselling or other relevant allied health disciplines is preferable.
- At least 2 years’ experience in case management within the human services sector is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in providing effective case management to clients from CALD background in the areas of settlement, community detention, asylum seeker programs, community health or related area in the context of new and emerging refugee communities.
- Demonstrated understanding of challenges facing newly arrived humanitarian entrants in regional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the Strengths Based Model in practice with clients
- Sound understanding of current Commonwealth and State policies related to immigration, settlement, asylum seekers, income support and other relevant social policies and demonstrated ability to respond flexibly to changing policy and program needs.
- Proficiency with IT standard software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and ability to use Internet and e-mail.
