The Position
This is a development opportunity for a candidate with excellent organisational and administrative skills, looking for a fruitful career in the dynamic Human Resources industry. As the Support Officer in Council’s People and Safety team, you will be able to cultivate your career by taking advantage of developmental opportunities, including mentorship and study support.
This important role will support the People and Safety team by conducting a range of duties, including: preparing and processing HR-related correspondence; maintaining databases and information systems; conducting market-based research as required; managing team calendars; records management; assistance with development of presentation material (i.e. PowerPoint); and project assistance where required.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience in providing effective administrative support to a dynamic team and have the ability to proactively address competing priorities. You will also have excellent oral, written and interactive communication skills; a strong attention to detail; and the ability to engage and build trusted and credible relationships within the People & Safety team as well as other Council Departments.
