About us
A busy, established, Medical specialist located in Kogarah and Gregory Hills is seeking an experienced, flexible MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST.
This is an opportunity for someone who loves working in the health sphere to learn about medical practice and practice management from the ground up.
The successful applicant will be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and accommodating in spirit. They will need to have outstanding communication skills as well as being able to think on their feet, meeting the different needs of our patients and doctors.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Providing an outstanding level of customer service in person and over the phone to patients and health professionals.
- Answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments
- Efficient management of multiple appointment calendars, referrals, clinical files, SMS reminders.
- Management of consultation invoicing and receipting including private, Medicare bulk billing.
- Respond and manage written, verbal and telecommunications efficiently and effectively.
- Liaising with other health care professionals and hospital staff.
- Responsible for the efficient running of a clinic
- Facilitate the coordination, setup and cleaning the practice rooms, including other associated tasks as required.
- Collection and accurate data entry of patient details
- Assisting patients with enquiries
- Carry out all aspects of administration as needed
Qualifications & experience
- Previous medical reception experience
- Genie software experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional, warm and friendly disposition and presentation
- An ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient and practice matters.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient even when working in a busy and pressured environment
