Role and Responsibility

• Create a stimulating, positive and appropriate environment to foster and support the development of the children.
• Communicate positively and openly with children and their families on an ongoing basis.
• Conduct observation and evaluation of children's development.
• Assist children in daily routines.
• Respond to the emotional and developmental needs of the children.
• Be a positive and collaborative team member.

Qualifications

• Cert III (or Working Towards) in Early Childhood Services or Diploma
• Current first aid certificate,
• CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate,
• Current Working with Children Check,
• Child Protection training.

Essential Skills

• Positive attitude is very important to us, we’re building a harmonious team that’s like family.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and NQS, and the ability to implement both effectively.
• Experience in working cooperatively in a team environment.
• Passion to contribute to the development of children.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent computer literacy and written writing skills.
• Time management skills.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
