The Randstad Procurement, Contracts and Supply Chain team is seeking a Category Manager to work for a global aviation leader.
About the role:
- Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes and achieve cost savings goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align category management strategies with organisational objectives.
- Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify potential cost reduction opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact category management strategies.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on category performance, including key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Experienced professional with a proven track record in category management and similar industry/category
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
