You will lead your team and apply your clinical expertise in pregnancy, birth, child development, and Family structures to deliver exceptional patient-centered care within the Child and Family Health sector.

About You

  • You have tertiary qualifications in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) (overseas qualifications must supply the AASW Overseas Assessment number).
  • You have significant demonstrated social work experience in providing therapeutic interventions with families (including individual and Family counselling, a high level of assessment, brief intervention and group facilitation skills).
  • You have demonstrated experience in providing team leadership, clinical leadership, management and supervision to staff and students as well as experience as a member of a multidisciplinary team and skills to support clinical leadership within the team.
Where you'll be working

CCLHD are seeking a Senior Social Worker with specialised clinical expertise in pregnancy, birth, child development, and Family structures. This role requires advanced reasoning, autonomous operation with minimal supervision, and the ability to manage a clinical load alongside other duties.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide senior leadership, supervision, and management to Social Workers within the perinatal services of Child & Family Health. This includes oversight of Social Workers in the District’s Family Care Cottages, the Ngiyang Aboriginal Pregnancy, Child & Family Health service, and the SNF home visiting service, as well as broader Child and Family Health Social Work services in collaboration with the Social Work Team Leader - Child & Family Health (Level 4).
