We are also home to the highly acclaimed d’Arenberg Cube which is one of the most well known tourist attractions in South Australia, with multiple experiences on offer. Having 360 degree views overlooking d'Arenberg's vineyards, the building is a five story architectural puzzle, carefully designed to entice and excite the senses of our visitors with a plethora of interactive experiences.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Cellar Door Manager to lead and inspire the sizeable Cube Team. Your role will entail managing the Tasting Room, Concierge and Stables, overseeing the Booking Team and participating in Tourism Events, as well as being an integral member of the d’Arenberg Management Team. To effectively guide the Cube Team the role is structured five days a week from Tuesday to Saturday
TASTING ROOM / CUBE OPERATIONS
- Provide visitors with an exceptional level of customer service
- Manage the day to day activities of the Tasting Room and Cube operations
- Focus on developing Sales and Club sign ups
- Organize group bookings, private tastings and tours
- Staff training and motivation
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to organize Functions and Tourism Events
- Participate in various marketing strategies, campaigns and new releases
- Financial and Managerial Reporting
- Monitor and improve efficiencies in work processes and procedures
- Promote clear lines of communication and unity between each level of The Cube
- Uphold the integrity of the d’Arenberg Brand
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Roster Staff utilizing the Employment Hero platform
- Develop a co-operative, cohesive and proactive team environment
- Encourage the team to achieve high value sales
- Organize regular training activities and inter-departmental education
- Ensure a high level of information flow
- Chair regular team meetings
- Implement sales incentives and reward programs
- Communicate wine club promotions and activities
- Conduct annual Staff performance appraisals in conjunction with Human Resources
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential
- Experience in a similar role
- Wine Industry knowledge
- Staff management and development
- Exemplary customer service skills
- A high standard of written and verbal communication
- An unfaltering commitment to the success of The d’Arenberg Cube
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours as required
- Clear and detailed reporting capabilities
- Computer literacy - Front of house platforms such as Rezdy (Bookings) Neto (POS) or similar
- A positive outlook and the ability to inspire staff
- Responsible Person Certificate
- WSET 11 or 111
Desirable
- Tertiary studies Customer Communication / Marketing / Business
- Familiarity with the d’Arenberg Brand
- Event and Tourism Management
