About the role

The role of the Procurement Officer is to be responsible for providing procurement support to internal stakeholders and management including identification of requirements, delivery of the appropriate sourcing strategy, tender/ quotation document preparation, lead sourcing evaluation processes, and assistance with category management planning. 

Reporting to the Team Leader Sourcing, this role will see you support the sourcing team and various internal stakeholders in the development and implementation of adopted category management and procurement plans. Additionally, you will be tasked with a range of duties and responsibilities including leading the evaluation process to ensure procurement principles are upheld and relevant policy and procedures are adhered to. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Degree Qualification in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Contract Management/ Business or related field or solid contemporary experience in a similar role, with ongoing professional development. 
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of value for money outcomes from tender and other sourcing processes across a range of supply categories including; Construction, General Services, Professional Services, Information Technology, and Capital Equipment supply.
  • Experience and application of E-Procurement systems including Tender Link and Vendor Panel.

Other important information

  • The salary range for this position sits between $85.8k - $103k plus 11.5% superannuation
  • This is a Permanent full-time role.
  • This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
  • We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role. 
  • This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.

Council will be creating an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
