The City Life Directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life; including family, children, aged, leisure and cultural services. The Libraries and Lifestyle unit includes a large Library Network, Sport and Recreation team and the Young People team based at Arncliffe Youth and Recreation Centre.
Nestled within the Bloom Residential Development, Arncliffe Youth and Recreation Centre is accessible by public transport and vehicle. It includes 2 modern multi-sport courts, a large function room, commercial kitchen, meeting rooms, offices and activity rooms.
About the Role
The successful candidate will report to the Coordinator Young People and work with the Library and Lifestyle Teams to promote, activate and facilitate sport, recreation, youth and community focussed programs at Arncliffe Youth Centre through direct service delivery, partnerships and third-party bookings.
You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing staff and volunteers to implement a cost effective management model that delivers a diverse range of programs and activities to meet our community needs.

You can also expect to;
Manage the day to day operations of the Centre including staffing, utilisation, maintenance and improvements.
Develop and implement a diverse range of sport and recreation programs and activities through direct service delivery and/or bookings by third parties.
Work with the Young People Team to deliver services, programs and activities that meet the needs of young people and the broader community.
Develop and implement strategies and business models to promote, expand, diversify and manage the utilisation of the Centre including a Centre membership model.
Revise and develop policies and procedures that support the Centre operations.
Be accountable for the financial management and feasibility of the Centre including income generation, seeking grant funding and managing expenditure within approved budgets.
Mandatory and corporate reporting on the performance of the Centre.
About You
We are looking for someone who had;
Tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the role
Demonstrated experience in managing multi-purpose centres particularly with a youth and/or recreation focus
Demonstrated experience in effective delivery of community, sport and recreation programs and initiatives
Current First Aid certificate relevant to the role or willingness to obtain
Current and cleared Working with Children Check (NSW) and Criminal History Check
Current Driver’s Licence Class C or HR licence, or willingness to obtain

Salary Range: From $88,276.71 to $98,869.89 per annum, plus 10.5% superannuation
