COUNTRY UNIVERSITIES CENTRE CLARENCE VALLEY CENTRE MANAGER
Country Universities Centre Clarence Valley is a not-for-profit, community-driven organisation managed by a local Board of Directors. CUC Clarence Valley is jointly funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments under the Regional University Study Hubs program.
CUC Clarence Valley aims to provide quality higher educational services to students in the region that are inclusive and accessible. CUC Clarence Valley's mission is to build a sustainable business model which maintains an inclusive facility to support tertiary students in the Clarence Valley.
CUC Clarence Valley is part of an affiliated network of the Country Universities Centre. Our students have free access from 6 am to midnight with high-speed internet, modern technology, and general academic and administrative support. Students also have the opportunity to build a network of like-minded fellow students and can take advantage of being part of a nationwide learning community.
Centre Manager Role
The main purpose of this role is to promote and facilitate the provision of higher education and training at the CUC Clarence Valley through effective student engagement and support, active collaboration with the local community and management of the Centre. You will be responsible for delivering the mission of the CUC Clarence Valley to build the aspirations of our community through the power of education and training, by changing lives—one student at a time. This will be through the execution of the strategic plan established by the CUC Clarence Valley Board of Directors and managing the day-to-day operations of the Centre and the financial and reporting requirements of the organisation.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience.
- Sound financial management experience and understanding, including government grant acquittals.
- Demonstrated experience in and strong outcomes from stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management experience with ability to prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, coaching or management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to network, build strong relationships and work within a team.
- Capacity to plan and implement strategies to improve student engagement and retention rates.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media knowledge.
- Passionate and enthusiastic about creating opportunities for regional communities.
- Current Working with Children Check or equivalent.
- Current Drivers Licence.
DESIRABLE:
- Experience in marketing and promotion
- Experience in public speaking and creating presentations for schools and community. Working towards a Postgraduate Degree.
