About The Little School Preschool Inc
The Little School Preschool Inc is 16 place, stand alone, community owned preschool located in the heart of the Kembla Grange Estate, recently renamed Stream Hill. Established in 1978 by local community members, the Little School has held a long-standing reputation of excellence in the community.

We have a strong commitment to inclusive practices, sustainability, and being part of the wider community. We are an engagement service for the Early Start Denver Model with the University of Wollongong Early Start Program, and all staff receive training and development in this model.
About the role
As an educator, you are expected to be an active member of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. This includes but is not limited to:
- Developing strong relationships with children, families and the community
- Experienced in supporting children with Higher Learning and Support Needs
- Implementing the policies and procedures of the organisation at all times
- Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and review of the educational program to ensure consistent, high-quality education and practices throughout the preschool.
- Work within the philosophy and direction of the overall organisation, with autonomy in managing your workload whilst working collaboratively with the team.
- Participate in professional development, critical reflective practices, and overall quality improvement practices.
- Ensure learning and development is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
- Create a stimulating and positive environment for the children.
- Report to and work with the Managing Director, Nominated Supervisors and Educational Leader to provide a cohesive team to support staff, children and families
- Understand laws and regulations pertaining to the ECEC sector
- Maintain exceeding practice standards throughout all aspects of practice.
Required Qualifications and skills:
- Certificate 3 of Early Childhood Education and Care,
- Current Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate
- Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
- Valid Working with Children Check clearance
- Accredited Child Protection Training
- National Police Clearance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work within our values.
- Strong level of verbal and written communication in English

Salary: Dependent on experience
Days: Part time; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 3pm.
Hours: 24 hours per week
