Role Overview:
This newly created CFO role will have primary responsibility for the planning, implementation, and management of all the finance and business activities of the firm, including finance, co-sec, HR, IT, compliance, and risk management.
The role offers an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to all facets of a fast-growing Investment Management business.
- Ownership of all aspects of the finance function for the company and its related entities
- Managing process for financial budgeting and forecasting and oversight of all financial reporting and statutory obligations
- Providing advice on Tax and structuring matters to the Board
- Oversight of compliance relating to AFSL, AML/KYC
- Maintaining share registries
- Development of policies and procedures
- Overseeing audit process
- Oversight of HR, IT and Office Management functions and ensuring continuous improvement
- Oversight of the group's Co-Sec function.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- 10+ years’ experience gained in senior finance positions.
- Previous experience within a funds/asset/Investment Management environment preferred.
- Experience at creating, improving, monitoring and implementing processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing a team is essential.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation and exercise sound judgement.
- Board reporting experience.
- Collegiate and collaborative approach.
