Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer you will support the finance related functions, with a key focus around transactional/financial accounting for the AFS Group including all subsidiary, associated, or trading entities); (Essential Shared/Transactional Service)
Key Responsibilities:
Own the following relationships in AU/NZ:
- Bankers
- Insurers
- Credit Card Providers
- Landlords
- AASB16
Assist and support in the delivery of the following functions:
Daily
- Treasury: Bank Balances Reporting
- Cash Analysis, Monitoring, Forecasting & Reporting
- Bank Reconciliations
Weekly
- Bank Reconciliations
- Oversee the Debtor Control Account & Cash Processing
- Maintain the Fringe Benefits Register and subsequent processing within OneSource or similar
Monthly
- Prepare and assist with:
- Month End Journals for review and entry/signoff
- Review month end Creditor & Debtor Sub-Ledger accounts
- Prepare and Assist with Balance Sheet General Ledger reconciliations
- Board Papers and assembly thereof
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation Schedules
- Meet the monthly reporting obligations and timelines (Workday Timetable)
- Work with the Revenue Team to review MYOB Direct Invoicing
- Manage and process the company’s Corporate Credit Card Program
Annually
- Assist with preparation of Statutory returns/requirements
- Assist with Financial Reporting Preparation for External Accountant/Audit Firm
- Assist and Maintain Fringe Benefits Tax Return
- Maintain Fixed Asset Report and Schedules (book and tax)
Ad Hoc
- Assisting in setting up financial reporting and controls
- Maintain the Archiving Requirements Register
- Assisting in setting up financial reporting and controls including the development of processes and procedures
- Maintaining up to date, succinct and relevant processes and procedures for the department
- Assist in problem solving and solution on a long-term basis resolving and managing finance issues with staff and suppliers
- Provide leave relief to support the wider Finance Functions
People Management
Lead, mentor and develop:-
- Banking Team
- Financial Accounting Team
- Accounts Payable Team
Skills and Experience
- Experience in statutory ASIC reporting with Private Equity Layers will be well regarded
- 7-10 years corporate experience
- Demonstrated experience with lodging accounts compliant accounts with ASIC
- Demonstrated experience with Private Equity Layers
- High standard of Microsoft Excel with some exposure to Power Bi/Analytics
- Analytical ability, with high level of attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Leadership Skills
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Accounting
- Qualified CPA/ASA
