Description
Change Leadership: Lead and champion Departmental change by collaborating with senior leadership to articulate a clear vision for change and fostering a change-ready culture.
Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive change management strategies aligned with the Departments goals, considering the unique challenges and nuances of the Australian Public Service.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, employees, and external partners. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure a unified approach to change.
Communication and Training: Design and implement communication plans that effectively convey the purpose, scope, and benefits of change initiatives. Develop and deliver training programs to equip staff with the skills and knowledge needed for successful transitions.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and barriers to change, developing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions. Monitor and evaluate the impact of change, making real-time adjustments as needed.
Metrics and Evaluation: Establish measurable objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of change initiatives. Provide regular reports to leadership on progress and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analysing feedback and lessons learned from previous changes. Apply insights to enhance future change management processes.
Profile
- Minimum 2 years change management experience, preferably including a public service reform initiative or large corporate business transformation.
- Sound knowledge of change and project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver project communications to an internal customer audience.
- Relevant post-secondary qualifications in business management, HR, communications or a related discipline.
