We are seeking multiple Change Managers to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO).
About the role
As the Change Manager you will work with the Senior Change and Communications Lead, Domain Leads, Project Leads and/or senior Integration Management Office (IMO) staff, to provide leadership, effective management and execution of relevant projects and project deliverables to enable the creation of and transition to the new Adelaide University. You will bring together a cohesive change experience and plan across all elements of change (process, policy and procedure, technology, and people) for the in-flight program.
Working in the Integration Management Office (IMO), you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across the University of South Australia (UniSA), The University of Adelaide (UoA) and the Integration and Transformation Partner (I&TP).
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Change and Communications Lead to develop and implement strategies, activities, processes and tools required to support the transition plan across both Universities
- Gather inputs, manage interdependencies, and align with Sub Critical Paths
- Establish Stakeholder Engagement Framework, including User Reference/Focus Groups and coach 'change agents' on their roles' impact on project success
- Work with business stakeholders to draft communication events; design, implement and report results from Stakeholder surveys, and identify and make improvements to communication plan or communication flows
- Work with the Training resources in accordance with the Training Plan to assess training needs for delivered products, design and deliver facilitation, workshop training and implementation activities; and provide documentation and guidance to business areas affected by change
- Assist key stakeholders in assessing business readiness for change
Essential Skills and Experience
- Relevant postgraduate level qualifications (or progress towards one) in Change Management, Human Resources Management, Business Management, Project Management, Technology, Communication and/or extensive relevant experience
- Significant experience in implementing transformational change at an operational level within an organisation with a diverse and complex environment
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools and a solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
- Project management experience and well-developed knowledge of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience in building collaborative working relationships with colleagues, project stakeholders, business partners and customers
- Exception communication skills and ability to think innovatively and creatively through planning and driving the implementation of high-level strategies to plans and activities
