About Poachers
Poachers Pantry is a family owned and operated smokehouse, vineyard, restaurant and weddings & events venue established in the Canberra Region in 1991. Built around a love of good food and wine and sharing it with family and friends, we are passionate about creating a relaxed regional food and wine experience in our Smokehouse Restaurant.
The Restaurant operates lunch Thursday through to Sunday. The wedding season runs from September to May.
The role
The kitchen team is led by award-winning Executive Chef, Adam Wilson who is passionate about creating high quality dishes using seasonal ingredients sourced regionally.
We are looking for:
- Experience as a Commis Chef or Second year apprentice, however, we will consider a first year apprentice.
- Passion for high quality food and hospitality
- Drive with strong attention to detail
- Eagerness to develop your skills and grow within the industry
- Ability to work in a small team and take direction
- Well presented and punctual
- Strong worth ethic

You will need
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or Apprenticeship (min 2nd year is preferred but 1st year will be considered).
- A drivers licence and your own car - we are located 20 minutes from Dickson, ACT
