Job Description:

As a Chef/Cook, your primary responsibility is to prepare high-quality meals according to our restaurant’s recipes and standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and the satisfaction of our customers. Below are the key duties and responsibilities associated with this role:

1. Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.

2. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food, utensils, and equipment.

3. Ensure all food products are fresh and of high quality before use.

4. Monitor food stocks and place orders as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels.

5. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.

6. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.

7. Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and control costs.

8. Assist with the training and supervision of kitchen staff, as needed.

9. Handle and store food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.

10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a restaurant or similar establishment.

• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary trends.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures.

• Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institute is preferred, but not required.
