Brand new cafe operation located in Parkville, servicing 200 a day onsite team, their guests and the local community. Opportunity for Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm.
Play a pivotal role in the menu execution of Catering Project Melbourne's flagship cafe.The role is crucial in ensuring the success of the site while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, while keeping in line with the overall vision.
Responsibilities for the role include:
● Prepare and cook the menu in accordance with our recipes and presentation standards.
● Follow food safety guidelines to ensure a clean and organised kitchen.
● Work collaboratively with other front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
● Keep your station and equipment clean, organised, and properly maintained.
● Adapt to various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking.
● Monitor and manage food inventory to minimise waste and ensure freshness.
To be successful in the position you will have:
● Experience in a similar cafe role, or a commis, line cook looking for new opportunities. (2 Years experience in cafe kitchen)
● Experience with ordering procedures and stock management.
● Ability to to work independently, while working as apart of a small team
● Solid knowledge and supervisory skills in food safety and hygiene systems.
● Excellent communication skills, time and resource management
● An eye for detail and the ability to produce high quality consistent food products
● Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
● The necessary trade qualifications or relevant experience
● Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and kitchen procedures.
