We currently have an opportunity for a Chef Manager or Food Services Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the day to day running and overall management of the catering contract.
The scope of service delivery comprises coordination and execution of the meal service for students, administration and functions. Some out of hours functions may also need to be managed.
The role also involves the management of a particular site, incorporating the preparation and delivery of food.
Responsibilities:
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Establish and sustain a productive relationship with key client contacts and represents the business as a professional, responsive and committed partner.
- Prepare innovative weekly / term menus in accordance with budget allocated.
- Ensure the correct safety procedures are adhered to when using all kitchen equipment.
- Receive goods as per electronic buying guide guidelines and ensure correct storage areas are maintained using correct manual handling techniques.
- Ensure all counter area and / or food preparation areas are cleaned and sanitised, adhering to food health and safety standards.
- Managed accounts effectively and within budgetary guidelines, and follow company procedures in preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
What you'll bring
- Food Handlers Certificate desirable.
- Successfully completed an apprenticeship in cookery.
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
- Experience in a functions environment.
- Knowledge in menu planning, design and delivery.
- Strong customer service experience.
- A solid financial understanding.
