About the role
The Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory at Rydalmere, Sydney that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. The division is seeking an experienced Chemist to become a part of the Chemistry team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time.
This is a contract role for 12 months with full time working hours from 9 am to 5 pm.
Duties and responsibilities include -
- Processing pharmaceutical (Raw Materials/ Finished Product) samples for the analysis using Laboratory Instrumentation or Wet Chemistry Techniques.
- Preparing analytical reports.
- Ensuring samples are analysed within holding times.
- Ensuring client turnaround times are met.
- Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type and behaviour.
- Ensuring the laboratory operates in an efficient and safe manner.
About you/the essentials
- Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Extensive instrumentation and data processing experience with HPLC.
- Experience with Chromeleon software preferred but not necessary.
- Demonstrated Laboratory experience in Analytical Chemistry.
- Flexibility with the working hours based on Production requirement.
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
- A strong commitment to client service.
- Strong verbal and written communication along with computer literacy and knowledge of MS packages.
- Dedication to good laboratory practices with regard to quality of results and health and safety.
- Prior experience with HPLC is a must.
