THE CITY
The City of Nedlands is a Band 2 Local Government, leading the way in environmental sustainability, innovation and progress. Situated just 7km from Perth and with a population of over 21,000, the City stretches from the banks of the beautiful Swan River to the edge of the Indian Ocean.
THE ROLE
Reporting to Elected Members, the Chief Executive Officer will lead and contribute to the future of the City, balancing project delivery, technology solutions, policy development, and financial and environmental sustainability, in order to meet the needs of the community. Responsibilities will include providing sound advice to Council, senior stakeholder management, and ensuring considered management of the City’s physical, financial and human resources.
REQUIREMENTS
The new Chief Executive Officer will be a community and environmentally minded professional from a corporate or Local Government background, with proven ability to build excellent working relationships internally and externally. A strategic and innovative thinker with a demonstrated capability of financial management, governance, and delivery of capital works projects, will be the ideal skillset for this role.
IN RETURN
An attractive remuneration package in accordance with the SAT Band 2 role in the range of $219,071 - $340,778 will be offered to the successful candidate on a contract of up to five years.
